BLASTOCYST CULTURE

Blastocyst culture is a laboratory technique used in in vitro fertilization (IVF) and assisted reproductive technology (ART) to extend the growth and development of embryos to the blastocyst stage before they are transferred to the uterus. Blastocysts are more advanced embryos compared to earlier-stage embryos, typically being cultured for about five to six days after fertilization, as opposed to the typical two to three days in traditional IVF.
